Waterproofing, Slope and Preparation
The most important parts of a shower are often covered when the project is complete. EC Construction’s shower work can include substrate preparation, mud-bed construction, Schluter Kerdi waterproofing components, inside and outside corners, drain integration, and careful treatment of changes in plane.
Slope must direct water toward the drain. Walls and floors need an installation surface suited to the planned tile. Layout lines, grout alignment, niches, edges, and transitions should be considered before setting begins. These steps help the finished shower look intentional rather than assembled one decision at a time.

Can EC Construction install large-format tile in a shower?
Yes. Large-format and XL porcelain are among the materials EC Construction installs. The required handling, cuts, layout, substrate condition, and edge treatment are evaluated for the specific project.
Is a curbless shower always possible?
That depends on the existing floor, available depth, drainage plan, and surrounding transitions. EC Construction must review the site conditions before including a curbless entry in a written scope.
